You must have a password on your Windows account for this to work. Make a password now if you do not currently use one.

---IF YOU HAVE A ROUTER START HERE (on the computer you will be term serving into)

Log into router at 192.168.1.1 (IP address may vary)

Find Port Range Forwarding (my Linksys has it under the Gaming and Connections tab, yours may be different)

Make an application from 3389 to 3389 (the name does not matter, I named mine TERM)

Protocol TCP

Check “Enabled”

Enter last octet of your IP address (if you’re on the right page, you’ll know what I mean)

Save settings

Continue to the NO ROUTER instructions below

---WITH NO ROUTER START HERE (on the computer you will be term serving into)

Right click on My Computer

Properties/Remote

Allow invitations to be sent and allow users to connect to this computer

---TO TERMSERVE IN FROM REMOTE LOCATION

Go to Run

type   mstsc      (stands for MicroSoft Term Serve Control)

hit Enter

Enter your IP address

Hit Enter

Enter your username and password for your windows acct.

Hit Enter
